Community Standards

Four commitments shape everything on SameLobby — who can join, what the platform is for, and how contact begins.
Platonic, period
SameLobby is for platonic gaming friends and teammates. Dating and sexual solicitation are not allowed — and they are always reportable.
Mutual by design
Messaging opens only after a connection request is accepted, and requests never appear in Messages until they are. Unanswered requests expire after 14 days.
Never a paid feature
SameLobby Plus adds organization tools — not visibility, ranking, or safety features. Safety tools are part of the product, not an upgrade.

You decide when you're discoverable, who can contact you, and what you share. Every control below is built into the free product.
Block
Immediate and silent. A blocked player can't contact you or appear in your discovery results — and blocking is not a moderation finding. Unblock anytime from Settings.
Report
Report from a profile, conversation, group, or play invitation. Pick a category, describe what happened, and optionally include up to 5 recent messages as context.
Pause discovery
Stop appearing in recommendations anytime. Your connections, teammates, and groups stay exactly where you left them.
Preview your profile
The discoverable preview shows exactly what eligible members see, so you can check how you appear before and after you go live.
Export your data
Download a copy of your own account data as JSON whenever you want. Other players' details are never included.
Delete your account
Password-confirmed. Your profile leaves discovery immediately, and personal data is purged on a 30-day schedule. Block records are retained.
Reviewed by people
What happens after you report.
Reports don't vanish into a queue. Each one becomes a case — scoped, logged, and decided by a person.

Your report becomes a case with a reference you can follow in your Safety Center. Blocking stays separate from moderation.

Under review
A reviewer claims the case and examines case-scoped evidence. Every evidence view is logged — there is no bulk message export.

Action
Outcomes follow a ladder: warn, restrict messaging, restrict discovery, or suspend. Permanent bans for severe cases always involve human review.

Appeal
Eligible actions can be appealed once within 30 days. If an appeal reverses the action, account status is restored.

Who sees what
Your information lives in layers.
Every profile field carries a visibility setting, and changing that setting asks for explicit confirmation. This is the whole model.
Sensitive identity is never searchable. Free text never becomes a filter. Message bodies never leave for analytics.
Shown in discovery
Layer 1 · MembersDisplay name, avatar, broad region and time zone, games and platforms, current goal, and your intro.
Used for matching
Layer 2 · Match-onlyAvailability and preferences. Shown only as overlap you have in common — never as a searchable profile.
Accepted connections only
Layer 3 · ConnectionsExternal handles and conversation detail. Visible to people you connect with — never in discovery.
Private and admin
Layer 4 · Only youEmail, billing, blocks, and reports. Admin access is least-privilege, and every evidence view is audit-logged.
